What are the four different types of taxes? Income, Property, Sales, Utility
What does income tax take money from? Wages/Salary/Paycheck
Who has to pay property tax? Anyone who owns land or buildings.
What is utility tax? Tax paid on water, electricity, and sewer services that are used.
What is sales tax? Tax paid on purchases (except for food and clothing in Minnesota).
Why does the government tax? to pay for public programs (neighborhood sports teams, welfare, social security, etc.), and public infrastructure (roads, parks, etc.)
