abdominopelvic regions and quadrants

Umbilical Region centermost region deep to and surrounding the umbilicus (navel)
Epigastric Region located superior the the umbilical region
Hypogastric Region located inferior to the umbilical region
Right and Left Iliac or Inguinal Regions located lateral to the hypogastric region
Right and Left Lumbar Regions lie lateral to the umbilical region
Right and Left Hypocondriac Regions flank the epigastric region laterally
Four abdominopelvic quadrants RUQ; LUQ; RLQ; LLQ are from the subjects point of view
