Body cavity terminology

What makes up the dorsal body cavity? Nervous system; mostly bones
What makes up the ventral body cavity? Everything else: Trunk of human body, serous liquid
What is serous: A fluid that allows bodily organs to slide
What is the pleural Cavity? Lungs, thorax, medra, stinum
What is the serous membrane around the lung called? plera
What is the serous membrane around the heart called? Pericardium
In which cavity, Dorsal or Ventral, are you more likely to find a freaking huge tumor? Ventral body cavity, because the brain would notice if there's something growing on it.
What is the serous membrane around the abdominal area? Peritoneum
What is the medra? (blank)
How is the abdomen divided? Into four regions: Upper left quadrant, lower left quadrant, upper right quadrant, lower right quadrant
What is important to remember when drawing the quadrants? Your right is the patient's left!
What is the plane where you end up with anterior and posterior half? Choronal or Frontal
What is the plane when you end up with a left and right half? Sagital Plane
What is the prefix added to the above plane when it cuts right down the eye, but not right down the rest of the body? Pera
What is it called when you end up with an inferior and supeiror half? Transverse Plane
How many ventricals can be seen after a frontal cut of the brain? 2 ventricals
How many ventricals can be seen after a sagital cut of the brain? 1 ventrical
How many ventricals can be seen after a transverse cut of the brain? 2 ventricals
