Functional classification of joints and their structural classifications

Amphiarthroses | Slightly movable joints; joint is cartilaginous (no joint cavity) ex: epiphyseal plate, ribs to sternum, intervertebral joints, pubic symphysis. |
Diarthroses | Freely movable; joint is Synovial (has cavity) |
