| State of the Union Address | Televised speech given once a year sets for the programs and policies that the president wants Congress to put into effect as well as laws |
| Foreign policy | The government's plan for interacting with the other countries of the world |
| Diplomacy | The art of interacting with foreign governments of presidents who visits to foreign countries helps build International friendship |
| Treaties | Ran agreements with other countries many officials were to reach these agreements including senators |
| Reprieve | postpones the carrying out of a person sentence |
| Pardon | Forgives a person for his or her crime and eliminates / against rid of their punishment |
| Secretary | The title of most cabinet members is secretary |
| Attorney | General The head of the Department of Justice is known as the Attorney General |
| Ambassadors | Highest ranking US representatives in foreign countries The official place where ambassadors live in a foreign countries the Embassy |
| Consulate | A US Council off this is a consulate it is a place where u.s. commercial interests are addressed in foreign countries |
| Passports | Documents needed to travel to other countries issued by the country of the persons citizenship |
| Visas | Documents which allow people from other countries to come to the USA |
| Joint Chiefs of Staff | Top Military Officers of each branch of the Armed Forces who advised the president about military actions and Military possibilities |
| Department of Homeland Security | Established after the September 11th attack its goal is to protect the nation from all threats and attacks this includes natural disasters |
| Independent agencies | Specialized groups created and funded by Congress who work for a common goal/topic in the executive branch |
| Bureaucracy | All of the employees of US Agencies as well as those of the executive departments, make up the bureaucracy. There are almost 3 million people who work in the federal bureaucracy |
