classificaion of bond fractues

QuestionAnswer
closed a bone is broken but the skin is not borken
open a fragment of the fractured bone breaks the skin. or a wound extends to the site of fracture
displaced fractured bone parts or out of alignment
complete a bone is broken into at least 2 fragements
incomplete the fractue does not extend completly accross the bone
comminuted the bone break into several pieces
transverse the fracture is at a right angle to the long access of the bone
impacted one bond fragement is driven into the other, rsulting in shortening of the limb.
spiral fracture spiral around the long axis of the bone
oblique diagnal fracture rins accross the the long axis of the bone.
