Anthropological landmarks on the skull

Alare is the most lateral point on the margin of the nasal aperture
Bregma is the cranial point where the coronal and the sagittal sutures intersect
Coronion is the point at the tip of the coronoid proces of the mandible
Ectoconchion is the most lateral point on the orbital margin
Euryon is the cranial point where the cranial breadth is greatest
Glabella is the most anterior midline point on the frontal bone above the frontonasal suture
Gnathion is the most inferior midline point on the mandible
Gonion is the point at the centre of the mandibular angle
Incision is the point where the central incisors meet on the occlusal line
Lambda is the cranial midline point where the sagittal and lambdoidal sutures intersect
Metopion is the cranial midline point on the frontal bone where the elevation of the curve is greatest
Mentale is the most inferior point on the margin of the mental foramen
Nasion is the point in the midline where the nasal bones and the frontal bone intersect
Nasospinale is the midline point of a tangent between the most inferior points of the nasal aperture
Opisthocranion is the midline cranial point on the occipital bone that is most distant from the glabella
Orbitale is the most inferior point on the orbital margin
Pogonion is the most anterior midline point on the mandible
Porion is the uppermost point on the margin of the external auditory meatus
prosthion is the most anterior midline point on the alveolar process of the maxilla
Rhinion is the midline point at the inferior end of the internasal suture
Vertex is the highest midline point on the skull, in the Frankfurt Plane
Zygomaxillare is the most inferior point on the zygomaxillary suture
Zygion is the most lateral point on the lateral surface of the zygomatic arch
