TermDefinition
Lymphadenopathy: Any disease process affecting a lymph node or nodes. *Often characterized by swelling*
Nephrolithiasis: The condition of having kidney stones.
Myocardial infarction: Medical term for a heart attack.
Arthroplasty: The surgical repair of a joint.
Atherosclerosis: The hardening and narrowing of the arteries caused by the building of plaque.
Pneunothrorax: The abnormal accumulation in the pleural space *Causing collapsed lung(s)*
Myalgia: Pain in a muscle or group of muscles
Osteoprosis: A condition characterized by a loss of bone density. Bones become brittle and weak.
Abduction: Movement of a limb AWAY from the MIDDLE of the body.
Colonoscopy: Visual examination of the colon.
Arthrodensis: SUrgical fusion or stiffening of a joint to limit movement.
Tachycardia: An abnormal rapid resting heart rate above 100 bpm.
Bradycardia: An abnormal slow resting heart rate below 60 bpm.
Dyspnea: Difficult or painful breathing. *A.K.A.: Shortness of breath (S.O.B)
Gastroscopy: Visual examination of the interiors of the stomach.
Polyphagia: Excessive or increased appetite. *symptom of diabetes mellitus*
Hepatomegaly: Abnormal enlargement of the liver.
