What are the four major regions of axial musculature? Head/neck, vertebral column, thoracic, abdominal muscles.
Name two key muscles of facial expression. Orbicularis oculi, zygomaticus.
What muscles form the rotator cuff? Supraspinatus, infraspinatus, teres minor, subscapularis.
What are the three lateral abdominal wall muscles? External oblique, internal oblique, transverse abdominis.
What two muscles form the calf (triceps surae)? Gastrocnemius and soleus.
What are the two structural divisions of the nervous system? CNS and PNS.
What are the three main anatomical parts of a neuron? Dendrites, cell body (soma), axon.
Name two types of CNS neuroglia. Astrocytes, oligodendrocytes.
What are the two PNS glial cells? Schwann cells and satellite cells.
What are the structural types of neurons? Multipolar, bipolar, unipolar.
What are the four major brain regions? Cerebrum, diencephalon, brainstem, cerebellum.
What are the three meninges? Dura mater, arachnoid mater, pia mater.
Name the four spinal cord regions. Cervical, thoracic, lumbar, sacral.
How many cranial nerves are there? Twelve pairs (I–XII).

What are the three layers of the eye? Fibrous (sclera/cornea), vascular (choroid/iris), retina.
What are the three regions of the ear? External, middle, inner ear.
What are the three ossicles? Malleus, incus, stapes.
Name three primary endocrine glands. Pituitary, thyroid, adrenal.
What are the main anatomical parts of the thyroid? Right lobe, left lobe, isthmus.
What are the three heart wall layers? Epicardium, myocardium, endocardium.
Name the four chambers of the heart. Right atrium, right ventricle, left atrium, left ventricle.
What are the four heart valves? Tricuspid, bicuspid (mitral), pulmonary, aortic.
What are the three formed elements of blood? RBCs, WBCs, platelets.
Name two WBC types. Neutrophils and lymphocytes (others: eosinophils, basophils, monocytes).
What are the main lymphatic organs? Lymph nodes, spleen, thymus, tonsils.
Name two structural parts of a lymph node. Cortex and medulla.
What are the two major lymphatic ducts? Thoracic duct and right lymphatic duct.
What are the three sets of tonsils? Palatine, pharyngeal, lingual.
What are the two main splenic tissues? White pulp and red pulp.
What structures form the upper respiratory tract? Nose, nasal cavity, sinuses, pharynx.
What structures form the lower respiratory tract? Larynx, trachea, bronchi, lungs.
Name two major laryngeal cartilages. Thyroid cartilage and cricoid cartilage.
What is the correct airway sequence? Primary bronchi → secondary bronchi → tertiary bronchi → bronchioles.
What cells form alveoli? Type I and Type II alveolar cells.
