the lympathic system for LC Biology.

| What is the lymphatic system? | It is a secondary transport system, it returns tissue fluid from around cells to the cells. |
| How is the tissue fluid removed? | Tissue fluid is removed through a combination of reabsorption into capillaries and drainage into the lymphatic system. |
| What is Tissue fluid? | It is the plasma that has been forced out of the capillaries due to high pressure, there is no red blood cells or platelets in it |
| what is another name for Tissue fluid? | it is also called Execuilar Fluid ( ECF) as it surrounds all the cells of the body |
| What are Lymph Vessels? | the are the tubes that carry lymph fluid throughout the body. |
| what are Lymph Nodes? | are small bean shaped organs located along these vessels that act as fillers for the fluid. |
| what are the three functions of the Lymphatic system? | Maintaining fluid balance, supporting immune response, absorbing fats from the digestive system |
