Ramus (Projection that help to form joints) arm like bar of bone
Sinus (Depressions and openings allowing blood vessels and nerves to pass) cavity within a bone, filled with air and lined with mucous membrane
Fossa (Depressions and openings allowing blood vessels and nerves to pass) shallow, basin like depression in a bone, often serving as an articular surface
Foramen (Depressions and openings allowing blood vessels and nerves to pass) round or oval opening through a bone
Articular where two or more bones meet
Depressions indentations, pits, or hollows for nerves, blood vessels, tendons, or form joints
Long Bones longer than they are wide, shaft with head at both ends, found in limbs
Flat Bones thin, flattened usually curved, found in the skull, ribs and sternum
Short Bones roughly cube-shaped, found in wrists and ankles
Irregular Bones don't fit any other category, found in the vertebrae and hip bones
