The Admendments

US Contitution admendments (all 27)

1st Right to GRASP (Grievances, Religion, Assembly, Speech, Press)
2nd Right to bear arms
3rd No quartering soldiers against your will
4th No unreasonable searches or seizures, warrants can be gotten on probable cause
5th Grand Jury is mandatory, no retrial for the same crime (double jeopardy), you don't have to be a witness for yourself (self-incrimination), life liberty property can't be taken without due process, private property can be taken for public use if paid for
6th Right to a speedy public trial with an impartial Jury, right to know the nature and cause of the accusation, and have witnesses for and against you
7th Right to have a jury in a civil case
8th No excessive bail, no cruel or unusual punishment
9th Enumerated rights cannot be construed to deny or block other rights held by the people
10th Powers that are not delegated are reserved
11th Jurisdiction of the federal courts
12th Separated president and vice president on the ballot
13th Abolished slavery
14th No state shall deny due process clause, equal protection clause, citizenship clause, insurrection clause
15th Male African Americans can vote
16th Established federal income tax
17th Established the direct election of senators
18th Banned the use, sale, and transport of alcoholic beverages (prohibition)
19th Woman suffrage
20th Shortened the time between election and the president being sworn in
21st Repealed prohibition
22nd Set a two terms or 10 year max limit on presidency
23rd Created 3 electors for the District of Columbia
24th Prohibited the poll tax
25th Presidential succession and disability
26th Lowered voting age to 18
27th Gave congress members the right to vote to give themselves a pay raise after the next elections
