| Term | Definition |

| Till | Till is material ranging from clay to boulders dropped off by glaciers as it melts and moves through an area. |
| Erratic | Anything from a rock to a boulder that is moved by a glacier from one area to another and dropped off when the glacier melts. It is most likely going to look out of place |
| Morain | An area (like a hill/mountain) made of glacial till. |
| Esker | a long, narrow, and winding ridge of sand, gravel, and boulders that arrived by a meltwater stream that flows within, beneath, or on top of a stagnating glacier. They look like vanes/mini hills ( like the one at the Ladybug park by the parking lot) |
| Glacial Grooves | a lake that forms in a depression, or "kettle," left by the melting of a large, detached block of glacial ice that became buried in sediment. Large cuts |
| Outwash | A mixture of mostly sand and gravel that is by the river/stream coming off a melting glacier. Looks kind of like a delta. |
| Kettle Lake | A lake that forms that is left behind when a buried block of glacial ice melts. |
| Striations | any series of fine parallel lines, grooves, ridges, or bands on a surface or within a structure. Scratches |
