| Anatomical Position | The body standing upright, facing forward, arms at the side, palms facing forward. |
| Mitochondria | The powerhouse of the cell; produces ATP. |
| Neuron | A specialized cell that transmits nerve impulses |
| Negative Feedback Loop | A process that returns a condition to its normal state (e.g., blood sugar control). |
| Action Potential | A rapid rise and fall in membrane potential that transmits signals along neurons. |
| Skeletal Muscle | Voluntary muscle attached to bones for movement. |
| Diffusion | Movement of molecules from an area of high concentration to low concentration. |
