| Plasma Membrane | The outer boundary of the cell |
| Hypodermis | Sometimes called the Subcutaneous Layer |
| Connective tissue | One of the most widespread and diverse tissues in the body and is found in or around nearly every organ of the body |
| Dermis | Sometimes called the "true skin" |
| Nervous Tissue | Tissue specializes in communication among the various parts of the body and in integration of their activities |
| Keratinocytes | They make up more than 90% of the epidermal cells and form the principle structural element of the outer skin |
| Ligaments | Fibrous bands that help hold the various bones together into an organized skeleton |
| Cilia | Projections from the cell that move materials and mucus |
| Golgi Apparatus | Organelle that processes and packages material to be secreted |
| Bone | Lack a direct blood supply and consequently heals very slowly |
| Intercellular Matrix | The fluid environment that fills the spaces between the cells of the body |
| Diaphysis | The main shaft-like portion of a long bone |
| Pelvic outlet | The joint between the pubic portions of each coxal bone |
| Middle ear | Where fibrocartilage can be found |
