| Epimysium | A dense layer surrounding the entire muscle, providing structural support. |
| Perimysium | Divides the muscle into fascicles (bundles of muscle fibers), facilitating the distribution of blood vessels and nerves. |
| Endomysium | A fine sheath encasing individual muscle fibers, allowing for exchange of nutrients and waste. |
| Trapezius | Elevates, retracts, and rotates the scapula; extends the neck |
| Rectus Abdominis | Flexes the vertebral column; compresses abdominal contents. |
| Quadratus Lumborum | Laterally flexes the vertebral column; stabilizes the pelvis. |
| Latissimus Dorsi | Extends, adducts, and medially rotates the arm. |
| Rhomboid Major | Retracts and elevates the scapula; stabilizes it against the thoracic wall. |
| Deltoid | Abducts, flexes, and extends the arm |
