Trapezius Origin = occipital bone Insertion = clavicle Shrugs
Pectoralis Major Origin = clavicle Insertion = greater tubercule of humerus Flexes upper arm
Pectoralis Minor Origin = 2-5th rib Insertion = coracoid process of scapula Pulls shoulder down and forward
Serratus Anterior Origin = Upper nine ribs Insertion = scapula Pulls shoulder down & forward
Latissimus Dorsi Origin = Sacral vertebrae Insertion = intertubercular groove of humerus Adduction of arm posteriorly
Deltoid Origin = Clavicle Insertion = Humerus Abducts upper arm
Supraspinatus Origin = supraspinous fossa of scapula Insertion = Greater tubercule of humerus Assists in abducting the upper arm (synegist)
Infraspinatus Origin = Infraspinatous border of scapula Insertion = Greater tubercule of humerus Rotates arm outward
Biceps Brachii Origin = Coracoid process Insertion = Tubercule of radius Flexes & supinate forearm
Brachialis Origin = Distal anterior surface of humerus Insertion = Coracoid process of ulna
Brachioradialis Origin = Humerus Insertion = Stylus process of radius
Triceps Brachii Origin = Scapula Insertion = Olecranon process of ulna
