| Plea bargaining | negotiation between the defense attorney and the prosecutor who is the governments theory |
| Search Warrant | judge's authorization- specifying the exact place to be searched and describing what objects may be seized. |

| Mandatory Sentencing | judges must improve whatever sentence the law directs |

| 6 Amendment | Protects the rights of individuals accused of crimes, guarantees a fair trial and have rights during legal process |
| 8 Amendment | prohibits excessive bail, excessive fines and cruel and unusual punishments |
