North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) A security alliance of 30 countries from North America and Europe. To safeguard the freedom and security of its member states through political and military means
World Trade Organization (WTO) The only global international organization dealing with the rules of trade between nations
North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) A trade agreement between Canada, Mexico, and the United States that aimed to create a free trade zone in North America
International Red Cross/Red Crescent A humanitarian network that works to prevent and alleviate human suffering, particularly in situations of conflict and disaster, by providing humanitarian assistance and promoting the protection of human rights
United Nations (UN) An international organization that maintains international peace and security, fosters friendly relations among nations, and promotes social progress and better living standards, including protecting human rights
