what is fascia? connective tissue that surrounds muscle
what is synonymous to muscle cell? muscle fiver
what is a sarcomere? smallest functional unit of muscle.
what is the sarcomere made of? actin and myosin filaments that interdigitate. they ratchet closer together and pull apart. need ATP and calcium.
in what form and function are most muscles? they are in pairs. they only contract (do not detract). other muslces pull back again.
what are myofibrils? long chain of sarcomeres. stacked sarcomeres from end on end
what is the longest muscle in the body? sartorius muscle in the thigh
what is a muscle cell? runs the length of the muslce. it is filled wtih myofibrils whcih are the cell product. this is what the muscles make
