| Thrombocyte | Blood cells responsible for clotting |
| Erythrocyte | Blood cells that transports nutrients and gasses throughout the body |
| Leukocyte | Blood cells that fight infections |
| Hyaline Cartilage | Most common type of cartilage. It is firm with some flexibility |
| Elastic Cartilage | Most flexible type of cartilage. Found in the ears and epiglottis. |
| Fibrocartilage | Most firm type of cartilage; resists compression and tension |
| Chondrocytes | Mature cartilage cells |
| Osteocytes | Mature bone cells |
| Chondroblasts | Cells that make cartilage matrix until the skeleton stops growing |
| Osteoblasts | Immature bone cells that create new bone matrix |
| osteon | Units of bone consisting of the central canal and lamellae |
