Histology The study of tissues
Tissue Similarly structured cells that are grouped together to perform a task
Simple Tissue Tissues made out of a single layer of cells
Epithelial Tissue Tissues that form the internal and external body surfaces, lines body cavities, and composes the glands of the body.
Stratified Tissue Tissues made out of many layers of cells
Pseudostratified Tissues that appear to be made out of multiple layers of cells, but is actually just one layer of cells
Squamous Cell Flattened cells
Cuboidal Cell Box-like cells
Columnar Cell Cells that are taller than they are wide
