Anatomy

HYDROLYSIS Is the decomposition reaction that requires the addition of a water molecule to break a bond.
DISULFIDE LINKAGE Refers to a bond between Sulfur atoms in proteins
ORGANELLE A structure made of molecules organized in such a way that it can perform a specific function
NERVE CELLS They have a threadlike extention to transmit nervous impulse from one area to another
CELL The size of a cell is determined by the function of the celll
SKIN Is impermable: meaning it cannot be passed by water or virus- can secret things like antibodies or Lysozymes to help fight away virus/bacteries
BONE The vibration in our bone helps to interprete sound,noise to us (especially bone in the ear)
OSTEOGENESIS Is the combined action of both the Osteoclast and Osteoblast to sculpt bone into their adulot shape
EPIPHYSEAL The epiphyseal plate allows the diaphysis of a long bone to increase in length
CONVERGENT MUSCLE Is a type of skeletal muscle where muscle fiber originate from a broad area and converge towards a single insertion point.
SERRATUS ANTERIOR Is a large fan shaped muscle located on the side of the chest- plays a role in sterbilizing and moving the shld blade.
