Titles for the ADA
Helps study the five titles for the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990
| Term | Definition |
|---|---|
| Title I | Employers must make reasonable accommodations for persons with disabilities |
| Title II | Persons with disabilities must have equal access to all local and state programs, services, and activities |
| Title III | Places of public accommodation must be accessible |
| Title IV | Provides persons with hearing and speech disabilities access to telecommunication devices and services |
| Title V | Miscellaneous provisions- Such as, if a person sues under one of the above titles, they can also sue for the cost of legal fees and lawyer |
