The Middle Ages - Society In The Feudal Era

QuestionAnswer
1. Define and explain one part of the process of becoming a knight. The process began as a page, then squire and finally knight. The job of a squire was to become a servant of a knight and train with armor, and weapons, train on horseback, and take tests.
2. Give one example of literature of chivalry. Songs and poems were often written about a knight’s loyalty to the woman that he loved.
3. Describe how women were treated in society during this era. Women were treated horribly as they had very little power and taught that they were inferior to men by the Church.
4. How did knights obtain fighting experience? Knights obtained fighting experience from by fighting in staged combats called tournaments.
5. Describe the role of knights in the Medieval Society. Knights were to protect the weak and poor.
