What are the requirements to run for House of Representatives? Must be at least 25 years old, have lived in the US for at least 7 years, and be a resident of the state they are representing
What are the powers of Congress? Makes laws, controls finances, declares war, maintains Army/Navy, amends constitution, impeaches government officials
What are Ex Post Facto laws? Congress cannot pass laws that criminalize actions that were legal at the time they were committed
What are Bills of Attainder? Congress cannot pass circumvent due process
What is the Writ of Habeas Corpus? Congress cannot suspend an arrested person's write to make the government prove to a judge that the arrest and detainment are justified
What is a Bicameral Legislature? System wherein Congress is separated into two separate chambers.
