Anatomy

Definition
Peripheral nervous system (PNS) Connect the CNS to the body
Central nervous system (CNS) controls the brain and the spinal cord
Autonomic nervous system (ANS) controls involuntary movements
Somatic nervous system (SNS) controls voluntary movement
Sympathetic nervous system (SNS) “fight of flight”
Parasympathetic nervous system (PNS) Calming of the body
Heart Muscular organ that pumps blood throughout the body, and provides nutrients to the body.
Chambers 4 chambers in heart right, and left atria, and right and left ventricles.
Valves 4 heart valves in heart to ensure blood flow in one direction. From the aortic valve, the mitral valve, the pulmonary valve, and the tricuspid valve.
Electrical System Controls the heart rate and rhythm of the heartbeat.
