Manor The house that the Lords/Nobles live in.
Republic Form Of government where representatives make decisions for the people.
Civil War Fighting within the same country.
Dictator A leader who takes over by force
Punic Wars A series of wars between Rome and Carthage
Pax Romana 200 years of Roman peace characterized by a focus of art, education, and trade.
Social Pyramid In Feudalism Pope, King, Lords/Nobles, Knights, Peasants, Surfs.
Corruption Dishonest or illegal behavior by those in power. For example, accepting bribes.
Mosaic A picture created from small pieces of tile, glass, or colored stone.
Technique A specialized method used to achieve a desired result.
Chivalry A code of conduct behavior for knights.
Manor The lord's house on the fief-The manor will have everything needed.
Fief The land that the Lord owns.
Feudalism A system of protection in the Middle Ages.
Vassal A person who swears an oath of loyalty. Knight and lords swore an oath that they would protect the land.
