| Johannes Gutenberg's moveable type printing press | Helped spread new ideas throughout Europe, helped increase literacy rate, helped spread Renaissance into the rest of Europe |

| Renaissance Art vs Medieval Art | Medieval artist emphasized symbolism over realism, art was typically flat/2D. Renaissance artists gave their work a secular look, idealized human figure with "Golden Section", and used perspective for depth |
