To begin a journey or set off on a trip. Example: "It's time to hit the road and explore new destinations." Hit the road
To go to a less-travelled or unconventional route or destination. Example: "I prefer traveling off the beaten path to discover hidden gems." Off the beaten path
To feel restless or eager to travel. Example: "After being stuck at home for so long, I've got itchy feet and need to go on a trip." Get itchy feet
A glamorous lifestyle associated with frequent travel, especially by jet. Example: "She's part of the jet set, always traveling to exotic locations for work." Jet set
To be constantly busy or traveling. Example: "My job keeps me on the go, hopping from one city to another." On the go
To develop a strong desire or passion for traveling. Example: "After my first trip abroad, I caught the travel bug and haven't stopped exploring since." Catch the travel bug
A path or course of action that is not commonly taken or chosen. Example: "I prefer to take the road less traveled and discover unique experiences." Road less travelled
To make an additional effort, often beyond what is expected. Example: "Our tour guide really went the extra mile to ensure we had an unforgettable trip." Go the extra mile
To pack minimally and only bring essential items when traveling. Example: "I always travel light to avoid lugging around heavy bags." Travel light

This idiom can be used whenever you go to the beach and someone gets sunburnt. For example: “Be careful you don’t catch too much sun at the beach, remember to put on some sunscreen!” To catch the sun
Whenever you are having a really good time and enjoying your holiday, without worrying about anything (not even about money. For example: “We’re really going to live it up in Las Vegas next month!” To live it up

It means they have to take a plane which is leaving very late at night. For example: “I have to sleep during the day as I’m catching a red-eye tonight”. To catch the red-eye
It means they decide to stop somewhere for a while during a long journey.For example: “Our journey was so long that we decided to break the journey in a few places so we could rest for some days”. Break the journey
It means that a person stays in many different places for only a short period of time, and with only enough things to put in a suitcase. For example: “My cousin has been living out of a suitcase for years, Live out of a suitcase
It means that you’re doing it just as the sun is rising. It means you’re doing it at the earliest possible time. For example: “The plane leaves at 7.30 am, so we have to get up at the crack of dawn to get to the airport on time”. At the crack of dawn
