Holocaust Vocab

TermDefinition
Aryan Used in Nazism to designate a supposed master race of non-Jewish Caucasians usually having Nordic features
Ghetto Separate section of a city where members of a minority group are forced to live.
Refugee A person who flees from home or country to seek refuge elsewhere, often because of political upheaval or famine.
Genocide The deliberate killing of a large number of people from a particular nation or ethnic group .
Antisemitism prejudice against Jews
Torah The most sacred text of the Hebrew Bible, includes the first five books.
Bias Having an unfair or unbalanced opinion.
Holocaust A goal to exterminate all Jews, campaign of genocide.
Mischlinge Used to describe someone who is a hybrid, mongrel, or half-breed.
Scapegoat A person who is blamed for the wrongdoings, mistakes, or faults of others, especially for reasons of expediency.
