What the amendments do.

Amendment 1 Freedom of religion, freedom of assembly, freedom of the press, freedom to petition, freedom of speech
Amendment 2 Right to bear arms
Amendment 3 No forced housing of soldiers
Amendment 4 No illegal searches or seizures
Amendment 5 Right to due process, no double jeopardy, right to remain silent/ you don't have to testify against yourself
Amendment 6 Right to a trial by jury, Right to an attorney, Right to hear evidence against you, right to a fair and speedy trial
Amendment 7 Right to a trial by jury in civil cases
Amendment 8 No excessive bails or fines, no cruel or unusual punishments
Amendment 9 Rights not listed can't be denied to the people
Amendment 10 Rights not given to the US government are given to the states
