| 1. Phagocytosis | Ingestion of bacteria and other material by phagocytes and amoeboid and protozoans. |
| 2. Mitosis | A type of cell division that result in two daughter cells each having the same number and kind of chromosomes as a parent nucleus. |
| 3. Histogenesis | A differentiation of cells into specialized tissues and organs during growth. |
| 4. Apocrine glands | Produces viscous, lipid-rich sweat that also composed of proteins, sugars and ammonia. |
| 5. Fibrocartilage | A tough, dense, and fibrous material that helps fill in the torn part of the cartilage. |
| 6. Stratum granulosum | A thin layer of cells in the epidermis lying above the stratum spinosum below the stratum corneum. |
| 7. Hyperkeratosis | Abnormal thickening of the outer layer of the skin. |
| 8. Glucosamine | Natural compound found in ca- the cartilage -the tough tissue that cushion joints. |
| 9. Lumbar vertebrae | Each of the twelve bones of the backbone to which the ribs are attached. |
| 10. Vertebroplasty | A procedure in which bone cement is injected into a fractional or weakened vertebra in order to repair and strengthen it. |
