oculomotor eye movement via medial and later rectus and inferior oblique and superior rectus muscles; lid elevation via the levator muscle. pupil constriction; ciliary muscles
trochlear eye movement via superior oblique muscles
trigeminal sensation from skin to face and scalp and mucous membranes of the mouth and nose. muscles of mastication (chewing)
abducens eye movement via lateral rectus movement
facial pain and temperature from ear area; deep sensations from the face; taste from anterior 2/3 of tongue. muscles of the face and scalp. lacriminal, submandibular, and sublingual salivary glands
vestibulocochlear hearing and equilibrium
glossopharyngeal pain and temperature from ear; taste and sensation from posterior 1/3 of tongue and pharynx. skeletal muscles of the throat, parotid glands
vagus pain & temp from ear; sensations from pharynx, larynx, thoracic, & abdominal visceral muscles of soft palate, larynx, & pharynx. thoracic & abdominal viscera; cells of secretory glands; cardiac & smooth muscle; innervation to the level of splenic flexure
accessory skeletal muscles of the pharynx and larynx, and sternocladiomasteoid and trapezius muscles
hypoglossal skeletal muscles of the tongue
