What does Renaissance mean, and when did the age of the Renaissance occur? Renaissance means "rebirth," and the age was during the fourteenth and fifteenth centuries.
What was the Hanseatic League? The Hanseatic League was a commercial and military association of North German coastal towns during the Renaissance.
What was the Medici family famous for? The Medici family was famous for their banks in the fifteenth century, as well as their cloth production and real estate. They were the principle banker for the papacy.
Who wrote "The Book of the Courtier?" Baldassare Castiglione (1478-1529), and Italian.
What were the five major Italian States during the Renaissance? Duchy of Milan, Republic of Venice, the Republic of Florence, the Republic of Siena, the Papal States, and the Kingdom of Naples.
What was Italian Renaissance Humanism? An intellectual movement based on the study of the classical works of Greece and Rome. Grammar, rhetoric, poetry, moral philosophy , and history made up the subjects of humanities.
When did the Tudor king Henry VII rule? From 1483-1509
