What do white blood cells do? They protect the body from microorganisms and remove debris from the blood
What are one of the types of white blood cells? Neutrophils which are small phagocytic cells and there are 60% of those in your bloodstream
Another type of white blood cells are? Lymphocytes which deal with immunitity and production of antibodies there are 30% of these in your blood stream
The third type of white blood cells are? Mononcytes/Macrophages which are found outside the blood and is a large phagocytic cell and make up 8% of your bloodstream
The fourth type of white blood cells are? Eosinophils which reduce inflammation and make up 3% of your bloodstream
The last type of white blood cells are? Basophils which increase inflammation and relase histamine and make up 0% of your bloodstream
The analogy to help you rember about the white blood cells is? Never Let My Engine Blow 60 30 8 3 0
What is the first route of blood flow through the heart? Blood empties from the body into the right atrium
What is the second route of blood flow through the heart? Blood exits the right atrium into the right ventricle
What is the third route of blood flow through the heart? Blood exits the right ventricle into the pulmonary trunk towards the lungs for oxygen
What is the fourth route of blood flow through the heart? Blood returns oxygenated through the pulmonary veins to the left atrium
What is the fifth route of blood flow through the heart? Blood exits left atrium into the left ventricle
What is the sixth route of blood flow through the heart? Blood exits the left ventricle into the aorta to supply the body with oxygenated blood
