| Golgi Apparatus | a membraneous organelle that consists of tiny sacs that is stacked on one another; located near the nucleus |
| Lysosomes | vesicles (sacs) that encapsules to break down materials |
| Parietal bones | prominent, bulging bones behind the frontal bone |
| Temproal bones | forms the lower sides of the cranium and part of the cranial floor |
| Sphenoid bones | resemles a bat; keystone of the cranial floor; forms its midportion |
| Occipital bone | creates the framework of the lower, posterior area od the skull |
| Air sinuses | spaces, or cavities, within bones |
| intrinsic muscles | a group of muscles that are locatin within (or deeper) in a structure |
| extrinsic muscles | a group of muscles that occur superficially in the stricture' less close to the skeletal framework; involves flexion and abduction in movements |
| myelin sheath | a part that is wrapped around each nerve cell; contains protective layer of lipids and protein that coats the main body of the cell |
