what is a root? basic meaning of a term. medical terms can have multiple roots.
what is a prefix? adds meaning to the beginning of a word
what is suffix? adds meaning to the end of a word
what is a combining vowel? adds a root to a root OR a root to a suffix
what is a combining form? root + combining vowel.
what direction do you read a medical term? from rear to front
what should you do if a suffix begins in a vowel? do not use a combining vowel
