| DELEGATE | A person who represents others at a convention or conference. |
| FEDERAL | Relating to the central or national government. |
| FRAMERS | The people who wrote the U.S. Constitution |
| JUDICIAL REVIEW | The process by which the Supreme Court decides if actions of Congress and the president are allowed by the Constitution |
| JURY | n A group of citizens selected to judge a court case. |
| RATIFY | To approve formally. |
| REPEAL | To end a law by formal legislative procedure. |
| SEGREGATION | A system of separating people of different races or ethnic groups. |
| SUFFRAGE | The right to vote. |
