These are the 4 Characteristics of a State People, Territory, Sovereignty, and Government
a body of people living in a defended territory with a government is known as... State
Which Characteristics - States that its size doesn't matter... make up the state and may or may not be homogeneous (sharing customs, language, ethnic backgrounds) People
Which Characteristics - must have land with known and recognized boundaries? Territory
Which Characteristics - has supreme and absolute power within its own territory and decides on foreign and domestic policies. Sovereignty
Which Characteristics - states that each state is politically organized and it is used to accomplish its goals. Government
This institution which makes and enforces public policies including defense, crime, education and health care... etc.. Government
Setting up a "More Perfect Union" - "Guarantee Civil Rights" - "Promote General Welfare" - "Establish Justice" - "Ensure Domestic Tranquility" - and "Provide for common defense" is considered... the Purpose of Government
This government power is to "Enforce Laws" belongs to which branch of Government? Executive Branch
This government power is to "Make Laws" belongs to which branch of Government? Legislative Branch
This government power to "Interpreting Laws" belongs to which branch of Government? Judicial Branch
This theory of government states that the government was create by force - as one person or group claimed control over the land. Force Theory
This theory of government states that a primitive family was the head and the root of early government over time evolved in to clans. Evolutionary Theory
This theory of government states that God created the states and give those power and right to rule and people were bound to obey the ruler as they would God Divine Right Theory
This theory of government states that the people decided to up some power to the government in exchange for safety Social Contract Theory
