Hearts anatomy

TermDefinition
The heart's job To pump blood around the body, which supplies oxygen to vital organs and helps expel carbon dioxide
Vena Cava On the right side of the heart , deoxygentated blood travels through here into the heart
Pulmonary vein left side of the heart, blood travels through here into the heart
Atria upper chambers of the heart, pushes blood into the ventricles
Ventricles lower chambers of the heart, helps push blood out of the heart left = thicker muscle
pulmonary artery pushes deoxygenated blood out of the heart to the lungs
Aorta pushes oxygenated blood out to the body
