emphysema obstructive pulmonary disease characterized by overexpansion of the alveoli with air, with destructive changes in their walls resulting in loss of lung elasticity and gas exchange
chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) permanent, destructive pulmonary disorder that is a combination of chronic bronchitis and emphysema
antibiotic drug that kills or inhibits the growth of microorganisms
respiration breathing (exchange of gases)
adenoid- lymphatic tissue on the back of the pharynx behind the nose
