| Term | Definition |

| Clavicle | collarbone, attaches anteriorly to the sternum, posterior to scapula |
| Scapula | shoulder blade |
| Acromion process | high prominence on the shoulder |
| Coracoid process | attachment site for upper back and shoulder muscles |
| Glenoid Cavity | shoulder joint, site where the scapula and humerus meet |
| Humerus | bone extending from the shoulder to the elbow |
| Head | articulates with the glenoid cavity |
| Deltoid tuberosity | roughened v-shape, attachment site for deltoid muscle |
| Croronoid fossa | anterior fossa recieves the coronoid process of ulna when arm is flexed |
| Olecranon fossa | posterior side of the elbow joint, receives the olecranon of the ulna when extended |
| Radius | bone in lower arm, thumb side |
| Radial tuberosity | allows the bicep to attach to lower arm |
| Ulna | the inner and longer of the two bones of the human forearm, pinky side |
| Olecranon process | forms the prominence of the elbow |
| Carpals | wrist bones, 8 per side |
| Scaphoid | boat shaped, most commonly fractured, below thumb |
| Capitate | largest wrist bone |
| Metacarpals | 1-5 (thumb to pinky), attach distally to the carpals (10 in total) |
| Phalanges | each finger has 3 (proximal, medial, distal), except thumb (2), 28 in total |
