what function does connective tissue have? The functions of connective tissue are to support the body and its parts, connect and hold them together, transports substance through the body and protect it from foreign invaders.
What are the functions of muscle tissue? Produce movement. Produce heat.
Name the major tissues of the body. Epithelial, connective, muscle and nervous e tissue.
What cells contribute to the pigmentation of the skin? Melanocytes .
What is the primary layer of the skin? Epidermis.
Name the skin glands. Sweat, sebaceous, and ceruminous.
What type of gland is the most abundant in the body? Eccrine sweat glands.
What is the action called for the active erosion of bone minerals? Osteoclasts.
What are three major types of cells found in bone? Osteoblasts, osteoclasts, and osteocytes.
The human skeleton is divided into: Axial and appendicular skeleton
What two bones form the framework of the forearm? The radius and the ulna.
