Frontalis Epicranial muscle, frontal belly of occipitofrontalis muscle. Elevates the eyebrows
Occipitalis Epicranial muscle, occipital belly of occipitofrontalis muscle. Helps with the rotation of the neck.
Galea Aponeurotica Broad sheet of tendon that connects the frontalis and occipitalis muscles.
Temporalis Deep muscle by the temporal bone that helps to elevate the mandible.
Orbicularis Oculi Eye muscle that helps to move the eyelid
Zygomaticus Minor Muscle from the zygomatic bone that aids in facial expression
Zygomaticus Major Muscle from the zygomatic bone that aids in facial expression; one of the muscles that allow one to smile
Masseter Muscle of the cheek that elevates the mandible
Orbicularis Oris Round muscle of the mouth; moves the lips for speech and facial expression
Mentalis Muscle of the lower lip acting on the skin and the lower lip
Platysma Deep muscle that extends from the bottom of the mandible to the clavicle
