Fetal Fontanelles

Frontal (anterior) Fontanelle The largest fontanelle; placed at junction of sagittal, frontal, and coronal sutures
Occipital Fontanelle Triangular fontanelle; placed at junction of sagittal and lambdoid sutures
Mastoid Fontanelle Fontanelle where parietal, temporal, and occipital bones intersect
Sphenoidal Fontanelle Fontanelle where frontal, parietal, temporal, and sphenoid bones intersect.
