| erosion | loss of superficial epidermis leaving are of moisture but no bleeding |
| ulcer | open sore, can bleed or scar |
| excoriation | scratch mark |
| fissure | linear crack in the skin |
| scale | thin flake of exfoliated skin |
| crust | dried serum, blood or pus |
| cicatrix of the skin | scar |
| keloid | abnormal overgrowth of scar tissue |
| cherry angioma | small, round, bright red blood vessel tumor (usually on elderly) |
| telangiectasia | tiny, red blood vessel lesion formed by dialation of a group of blood vessels |
