osteoporisis bone resorption occurs at faster rate then bone deposition. Bones become more porous and fracture more easily.
osteomalacia caused by low vitamin D & calcium. Bones are softer and weak due to mineral imbalance.
rickets caused by low vitamin D & calcium. Bones are soft and weak due to mineral imbalance. Happens in children. Bowed legs.
osteomyelitis inflammation of bone marrow due to pus forming bacteria.
gigantism happens in childrenl hypersecretion of growth hormone.
acromegaly adulthood hypersecretion of growth hormone; face, feet and hands
Pituitary dwarfism deficiency of GH in child --> short long bones
pagets disease possibly viral; excessive bone formation and breakdown
