What are the 4 principal types of tissues? Epithelial, connective, muscle and nervous tissue

Which type of tissue is the most widespread and diverse, that is also found in every organ? Connective
Stratum basale vs stratum corneum? Basale is a single layer and is the deepest stratum. The cells here undergo mitosis. Stratum corneum is the most superficial that contain dead cells whose cytoplasm has been replaced with keratin fibers
What are the 2 ways cartilage grows? Interstitial and Appositional growth
Describe the calcium homeostasis with high levels of calcium? With high levels of calcium, calcitonin secretion increases from the thyroid decreasing the breakdown of bone matrix. Calcium ion levels decrease resulting into normal calcium levels.
What allows the skull to "mold" during birth process as well as allow for rapid brain growth? Fontanels or "soft spots"
What are the 3 bones that fuse together to make up the coxal bones? Ilium, ischium and pubis
