| Lymphatic System | is an organ system, in vertebrates that is a part of the circulatory system and the immune system. |
| What is the Lymphatic system made up of? | it is made up of large networks of lymph, lymphatic vessels, lymph nodes, and lymphoid tissues. |
| Lymphatic vessels | absorb excess interstitial fluid, transporting this fluid called "lymph" that ducts to drain into veins. |
| Lymphocytes | provide immunological defense against disease causing agents |
| Once fluid enters the lymphatic capillary | = Lymph |
| Lymph ducts | Pace makers and initiates action potentials associated associated with the entry of CA2 + which stimulates contraction. |
| Thoracic Duct + Left Lymphatic Duct = Lymph Ducts | The ducts drain lymph into left and right subclavian veins. |
| Lymph Nodes | Contain phagocytic cells which help remove pathogens and germinal centers , which are sites of lymphocytic production. |
| Lymphoid organs | Tonsils, Spleen, Thymus (Contains the germinal centers and are sites of lymphocytes production) |
